Iran, June 4, 2018 - Despite
reports and claims promoted by the Iranian regime and state media,
protests are spreading throughout the country with people from all walks
of life voicing increasing demands and going on strike in their efforts
to have their demands realized.
A group of medical exam students rallied
for the second consecutive day in the cities of Tehran, Rasht, Mashhad,
Shiraz and Isfahan. These gatherings were held outside each city’s
Medical Sciences Department building with the students protesting, “We
are being crushed under rationing.”
Employees of the Varena Milk Factory in Varamin, southeast of Tehran, the capital of Iran, held a protest rally on Sunday.
Employees of a petrochemical company, along with their family members, rallied in Mahshahr, southwest Iran.
For the second consecutive day employees
of the Ahvaz National Drilling Company held a protest rally outside the
governor’s office.
Employees of the Bandar Abbas Shipping
Yard went on strike today, protesting not receiving their paychecks for
the past few months.
In other news, concerning reports from
various cities of Isfahan Province indicate running water is constantly
cut-off and authorities are literally rationing the scarce sources.
Locals are expressing deep concerns in this regard.
